Part-Time Marketing & Social Media Intern


At Association Technologies we provide a wide spectrum of technology solutions for small and not-for-profit businesses that enable them to run their businesses more efficiently.  Our small company offers a highly energetic and dynamic environment where you will work closely with our clients and your fellow consultants. 


Association Technologies (AT) seeks a high-level intern, recent graduate, or experienced part-time social media resource. This person will help the company develop and maintain an extended social media presence using LinkedIn, Twitter, and the company's website. The purpose of this initiative is:

  • Develop AT's social media marketing strategy
  • Create engaging social media content (images, video, text)
  • Develop social media campaigns for:
    • Increasing AT's social media exposure
    • Marketing the company's services
    • Educational content for clients and prospects
    • Company related updates
    • Promoting specific company products and services
    • Integrating social media with other AT marketing and sales efforts
    • Measuring the success of AT social media efforts
    • Mining social media for leads and other opportunities


  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • Approximately 2 years of social media management experience
  • Professional certification in Google Analytics preferred
  • Familiar with multi-social posting through programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot
  • General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
  • Experience determining how to customize marketing campaigns to unique audiences
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse staff while simultaneously working toward multiple company initiatives
  • Entry-level understanding of marketing strategy and how to use the concepts with various forms of outreach


  • Establish an understanding of the company through discussions with key employees
  • Develop a social media strategy in collaboration with company executives
    • Establish AT social media goals and objectives
      • Company level lead generation and client prospecting
      • Specific product and service offerings
      • Educational content objectives aimed at AT's clients and prospects
    • Create a social media project plan
    • Create a social media calendar
    • Create a plan for regular reporting and analysis of progress against goals
