Association Technologies has created a new solution for those that wish to provide flexible, portable, secure, and customizable reports to their customers/members. The solution consists of a completely customizable web page, a Crystal Report, and a web service.

"In the past, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons published a membership directory on a bi-annual basis and then sent a copy to each of its 17,000 Fellows as a member benefit. The cost to print and mail these books was approximately $70,000; half of this cost was offset by advertising. Recently, it has been harder to obtain advertising for this product. In addition, the directory itself was out of date soon after it is printed since 20% of our members change their address or phone number each year. While the AAOS web site has had an online membership directory for many years, some of our members were reticent to give up a paper publication that they could store in their office within easy reach of their staff. The Association Technologies' ReportPress product allowed us to have the best of both worlds. Members can now order their own membership directory whenever they want and have it automatically sent as a PDF file to their E-mail address of record. And, for a small fee, the directory can be printed and bound in the AAOS print shop and then mailed to them. Because the ReportPress process accesses our live membership database, the resulting directory is always current.”

How does it work?
A member goes to your website, logs in, and enters their selection criteria. The member can pick the fields, change the sort order, select which sections to include, and many other options. The web page then sends the request to a web service which produces a PDF version of the report and emails it the recipient.
Or it can be as simple as having the member click on a single button/link and the Report Press sends them a specific report.
